Fund Transit Now: Strategy Meeting

Fort Worth City Manager David Cooke has announced the proposed 2021 Budget.

While there were a few items from Trinity Metro's needed $10mil budget request that made the cut...

... the bulk of them were totally left out!

In the next few weeks, The City will host a series of Town Halls where Council will educate the public about the 2021 budget and listen to any feedback citizens wish to give before city council goes into workshops to re-tool the budget.

These Town Halls are important opportunities for us to vocalize the need for increased transit funding in the next year's budget.

We have been pushing and waiting for the city to make REAL investments in our community's transit system.

Our city's citizens, economy, and job growth depend on it.

We will be holding a Strategy Meeting on August 17 @ 5:00 PM on zoom where we will discuss talking points and the "why" behind the ask, and try to answer any questions you might have.

(Note: Although these town halls are hosted by a Fort Worth District, anyone is welcome to attend. We are asking people to register through TTA so we can track who will be speaking, this is not an official "sign up" with the city, and we will help identify the process to speak as the city makes it available)
